Majik Water is a company offering innovative technology that converts condensation into clean water. The company was founded by Beth Koigi, with the mission to make drinkable and clean water accessible for those living in arid climates.
Knowing Majik Water's mission, I aimed to redesign their visual identity by preserving their main product: water. I made sure that the logo can accurately portray Majik Water for what they stand for.
I had a lot of fun coming up with the logo. I initially wanted to go the illustrative route by incorporating water droplets, waves, and other water-related images. However, I then realised that the M and W of Majik Water poses an opportunity for word/letterplay, so I experimented with that instead. I ended up with tying together the M and W, portraying a river, and keeping the overall shape very rounded to signify liquidity.
I wanted to have a main colour and complementary colours for this logo. The main colour is light blue, with dark blue and beige as complementary colours. The complementary colours can act as a background colour or a text colour, depending on its context.
I chose Area Normal for the font, as I wanted to depict a modern and sophisticated style for Majik Water. Moreover, I wanted a highly legible typeface, so that people of all backgrounds can easily read and understand them when the typeface is used in action.
These graphical elements are to be used for promotional media or documents. I wanted to maintain that flowy, and liquidy style while keeping it sophisticated.
Now, the logo in action. I made some examples of the logo in two scenarios: large scale and small scale. Across both large and small scale scenarios, the Majik Water logo should always be shown clearly, with both the M-W river and the 'Majik Water' text.
